Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Bradford City and Mansfield Town square off against each other at Valley Parade in what is expected to be an interesting League Two game. The Bantams suffered a dip in form, with the team losing each of their last three league fixtures. Bradford City are desperate to give fans something to cheer about, but they will have a big fish to fry in Saturday’s clash.
Forward Tom Elliott, who limped off with injury in a 3-1 loss to Harrogate, is unlikely to feature against Mansfield. The Yellows, on the other hand, are eager to stay in the playoffs berth. Mansfield Town have been in a much better form of late than Bradford City, and we predict that the visitors are going to prove their worth on the field. Keep in mind, though, that experienced midfielder John Joe O’Toole misses out through suspension for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Bowery):
Born in Nottingham, England, on July 2, 1991, Jordan Bowery is a professional footballer who plays for Mansfield Town. Bowery played for a number of English clubs, but we should mentioned the notable ones only.
The Mansfield No. 9 was a part of the likes of Aston Villa, Bradford City, Rotherham United, and Crewe Alexandra in the past. Jordan Bowery joined the Yellows in the summer of 2020, signing for the club on a free transfer. He made his Mansfield Town debut in the League two in a goalless draw with Tranmere Rovers on September 12, 2020.
Bowery scored his first goal for the Yellows in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient on September 19, 2020. Centre-forward is the position that suits him the most, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. His preferred foot is right. Jordan Bowery has never played for the England national team.
Highlighted Team (Mansfield):
Founded in 1897, Mansfield Town are a professional club that compete in the League 2, the English fourth tier. The Stags are well known for their yellow shirts and blue shorts, while the colour of their away kit is black. Field Mill is the club’s home ground, the stadium with the capacity of 9,186.
The venue was built back in 1861 and renovated in 1999. Chesterfield and Notts County are regarded as the club’s fiercest rivals. Mansfield Town did well to win the Football League Trophy in 1986/1987 season, with the team beating Bristol City on penalties at Wembley Stadium.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in the regular time, with Kevin Kent and Glyn Riley scoring for Mansfield Town and Bristol City respectively. Goalkeeper Rod Arnold is the player with most appearances as he played 513 games for the Stags in all competitions.
