Our prediction for this League 1 match:
There will be fireworks when Charlton Athletic and MK Dons face each other at the Valley on day 35 of the new League One campaign. The Red Robins suffered yet another dip in form, with the team losing each of their last three league fixtures. Charlton have been struggling at the back of late, which is probably the main reason why home win should not be considered.
All Jake Forster-Caskey, Jayden Stockley, Chuks Aneke, and Conor Washington miss out with injuries for the capital club. The Dons, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Sunderland. The visitors are eyeing automatic promotion to the Championship, and they should take advantage of Charlton’s poor form. Liam Manning should have a full squad to choose from, but Conor Wickham could be recalled to the starting XI after finding the net against his former club.
Highlighted Player (Jake Forster-Caskey ):
Born in Southend-on-Sea, England on April 25, 1994 Jake Forster-Caskey is a midfielder who plays for Charlton Athletic in the League One. Forster-Caskey started his both youth and senior careers at Brighton & Hove Albion and it has to be noted that he scored five goals in 67 league appearances for the Seagulls first team.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at the likes of Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons and Rotherham United, the English footballer signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Charlton Athletic in the winter of 2017. Jake quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the capital club, scoring 5 goals in 43 appearances in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
However, he was out of contention for most of the 2018/2019 season with a serious knee injury. His main position is central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both defensive and left midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (MK Dons):
Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes Dons are a League One club that welcome their rivals at Stadium MK. The venue was opened in 2007 and can hold up to 30,500 spectators. Milton Keynes Dons play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, whilst their away kit is red.
The Dons are one of the youngest clubs in England as they were founded in 2004, but they are well known for youth development. English attacker is the club’s all-time top goal-scorer, netting 62 goals in 165 appearances for MK Dons. Dele Alli, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, is the most famous footballer to have played for the Milton Keynes Dons, netting 18 goals in 62 appearances for the club in the league.
Speaking of notable coaches, it has to be noted that former Liverpool superstar Robbie Fowler and ex German international Dietmar Hamman were in charge of the club.
