Our prediction for this Championship match:
Out-of-sorts WBA will look to put an end to their dreadful winless run when they host Swansea City to the Hawthorns on Monday. The Baggies are no longer seen as main candidates for automatic promotion, but they are still capable of securing a spot in the playoffs. Monday’s clash is of big importance for the hosts, and we do not believe that they will have a better chance than this to get back on course.
Jack Livermore serves the last of his four-game ban, while all Daryl Dike, Robert Snodgrass, and Kean Bryan remain in the recovery room. The Swans, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs of late. Swansea City, though, are not regarded as good travelers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling WBA’s party at the Hawthorns. The Welsh outfit suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to Sheffield United in their last away game. Defender Kyle Naughton is injured for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Callum Robinson):
Born in Northampton, Callum Robinson started his career at Aston Villa. Having gone through the youth ranks with the Villans, Robinson was given his first-team debut in 2013. As a product of the Aston Villa academy, Robinson unfortunately never got a chance to prove his worth at the club and ended up playing no less than 4 league appearances during his three-year stay at Villa Park.
Various loan spells – at Preston North End on two occasions and Bristol City – brought mixed fortunes for the striker up until 2016 when he sealed a permanent move with the Lillywhites. Robinson represented England at U16, U17, U19 and U20 levels but raised plenty of eyebrows when he declared for the Republic of Ireland in March 2018 through his late grandmother who was from Monaghan.
The striker made his senior team breakthrough in Republic of Ireland’s 2-2 draw with Celtic in Scott Brown’s testimonial match and will be hoping to prove doubters wrong and prove his motive is bigger than career opportunism.
Highlighted Team (Swansea):
Swansea City AFC is a Welsh football club from Swansea and is currently playing in the English Premier League. The biggest rival Swansea City is Cardiff City which is next to Swansea City the only football club from Wales that played in the PremierLeague.
Swansea City was founded in 1912 under the name ‘Swansea Town’. The first venue where Swansea City played was The Vetch Field. The club grew in members and fans and on 23th of July 2005 Swansea City opened the Liberty Stadium which holds a capacity of 21 000 supporters. The fans of Swansea City prefer to use the non-commercial name: White Rock Stadium.
In the history of Swansea City the club managed to win the Football League One twice and the Welsh Cup 10 times. So far the Welsh club didn’t win any prizes in the highest English divisions. Known players that wore the Swansea jersey are Lampard, Toshack, Martinez and Bony.
