A spot at the 2022 World Cup finals will be at stake when Portugal and North Macedonia face each other at Estadio Do Dragao on Tuesday. A Selecao defeated Turkey 3-1 in the semis, but it has to be noted that Stefan Kuntz’s troops failed to score the equalizer from the penalty spot. Portugal are seen as hot favourites to win the decider, but Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. will have to prove their worth on the field. Both Renato Sanches and Joao Cancelo are back from suspension, while Pepe has recovered from illness.
The Macedonians, on the other hand, did well to shock Italy in Palermo to set up a meeting with Portugal. However, we do not believe that Blagoja Milevski’s men are capable of making yet another major scalp as A Selecao are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Both Elmas and Kostadinov return from suspension, speaking of the away side.

Cristiano Ronaldo is considered one of the world’s best football players. In 2008 he helped the Old Trafford outfit beat Chelsea in the Champions League final, scoring for Alex Ferguson’s troops in the regular time.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 and he helped the Spanish giants with two Champions League trophies. In 2016 he won the European Championship trophy with Portugal. The Real Madrid ace has two Golden Ball awards (2013, 2014).

Former Yugoslavian republic North Macedonia became member of both FIFA and UEFA in 1994 and they have been competing on the international stage ever since. The Crveni Risovi rolled over Slovenia (4-1) in their first ever official match and the team recorded their biggest win on November 9, 11996, with the team crushing minnows Liechtenstein 11-1 in Eschen-Mauren.
The North Macedonians have yet to qualify for the finals of a major tournament despite the fact that several high-profile footballers played for the former Yugoslav republic. Goran Pandev is undisputedly the team’s most notable player as he played for the likes of Lazion, Inter, Napoli and Galatasaray during his professional career.
Pandev scored his 28th and 29th goal for North Macedonia in a 3-0 win over Belarus in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. However, Goce Seldloski is the most capped player (100). North Macedonia welcome their rivals at Philip II Arena and they wear red shirts with yellow stripe and red shorts when playing at home ground. The colour of their away kits is white.
