Stade Matmut Atlantique will host Sunday’s Ligue 1 game between Bordeaux and Nice, the two sides with entirely different ambitions in the season finale. Les Girondins are fighting hard to secure the elite division survival, while les Aiglons are eyeing a spot in the Champions League. Bordeaux have been struggling at the back of late, with the team suffering a 5-3 loss at Nantes at the weekend, which is the main reason why home win should not be considered.
All Issouf Sissokho, Alberth Elis, and Timothee Pembele should miss out with injuries for the home team. Nice, on the other hand, defeated Troyes thanks to Khephren Thuram’s late goal. The 21-year-old midfielder is pushing for a start, while all Morgan Schneiderlin, Youcef Atal, and Claude Maurice remain in the recovery room. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Nice forwards are capable of taking advantage of Bordeaux’s shaky defence.

Edson Andre Sitoe “Mexer”, who was born in Maputo, Mozambique on September 8, 1988, began his senior career at Desportivo Maputo and he scored three goals in 97 appearances for the club. Mexer played for his home-town club from 2006 to 2010 and in the winter of 2010 he joined Portuguese side Sporting for a fee of €173,000.
The Mozambique centre-back was quickly loaned to Olhanense and it has to be noted that he made 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club in the league. In 2012 he was sold to fellow Portuguese outfit Nacional and after playing 57 league games for the club, Mexer moved to France. The 187-cm-tall footballer signed a contract with Rennes in January, 2014 and he has been playing for les Rouges et Noirs ever since.
Mexer made his debut for Mozambique national team in 2007 and he represented Os Mambas at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored his first goal for Mozambique in a 5-0 win over South Sudan in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

OGC Nice are a football club that participate in French Ligue 1. Les Aiglons welcome their opponents at Allianz Riviera and the club was founded on 9 July, 1904 by Marquis Massengy d’ Auzac.
OGC Nice won their first Ligue 1 trophy back in 1951 and eight years later they clinched their fourth and last domestic title. Speaking of the French Cup, les Aiglons won their third Coupe de France title in 1997. Allianz Riviera has been the home ground of the club since September, 2013 and it has to be noted that the construction of the venue cost €250 million. OGC Nice play their home games in red and black shirts and black shorts, while the colour of their away kits is white.
The Ligue 1 team booked their place in the Europa League group stages for the 2016/2017 season for the first time in the club’s history and they were drawn alongside Schalke 04, Salzburg and Krasnodar in Group I. However, they were beaten by Schalke in their Europa League opener in front of home fans.
