Crewe
Salford City will be looking to bounce back from the heavy EFL Cup loss (1-5) to Bolton when they take on Crewe Alexandra in the League Two round 3. The Lions are eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet in the league, and they are likely to rely on their defence in Saturday’s clash. Both Shephard and Eastham miss out with injuries, while important attacker Callum Hendry returns to the starting XI.
The Railwaymen, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to Grimsby, which is probably the main reason why we are going to put our money on Salford City. There are no fresh selection worries in the away team ahead of Matchday 3. In their last encounter in the League Two, back in 2019, Salford defeated Crewe 3-1, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.

Conor McAleny played for the likes of Scunthorpe United, Brentford, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic and Oxford United before signing a deal with Fleetwood Town.
The right-footed striker spent the second half of the 2018/2019 season on loan at Kilmarnock, scoring 3 goals in 11 appearances for the club in the Scottish Premier League.

The Railwaymen played their first game against North Staffs in 1877, with the two teams sharing the spoils (1-1) at Alexandra Recreation Ground.
