Nice and Strasbourg square off against each other at Allianz Riviera in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Sunday’s program. Les Aiglons kicked off the new Ligue 1 campaign with a 1-1 draw with Toulouse, and they are now on a quest to record their first triumph of the process. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team ahead of day 2, but new signing Aaron Ramsey should make his first start for Nice against Strasbourg.
Le Racing, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Monaco. Dante is a left-footed defender who was born in Salvador, Brazil on 18 October, 1983. The 189-cm-tall centre back, who is capable of playing as a left back as well, started his senior career at Juventude. After making 53 appearances for the club between 2002 and 2004 he moved to Ligue 1 outfit Lille.
He played for Belgian sides Charleroi and Standard from 2006 to 2009 and on 27 December, 2008 he signed a contract with Borussia M’gladbach for an undisclosed fee. After impressing with the Fohlen in the 2011/2012 Bundesliga campaign he moved to Bayern Munich at the end of the season and it has to be noted that he scored three goals in 83 league appearances for FCB.
In 2015 he signed a contract with fellow Bundesliga team Wolfsburg and he played 24 league games for the Wolves in the 2015/2016 season. In 2013 he won the Champions League trophy with Bayern Munich and he lifted the FIFA Confederations Cup with Brazil the same year.

Founded back in 1906, Strasbourg is a professional football team that compete in French Ligue 1. Le Racing did remarkably well to win the 1979 Ligue 1 trophy and that is considered the biggest success in the history of the club. Strasbourg won Coupe de France on three occasions (1951, 1966, 2001) and they have three Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well (1964, 1997, 2005). Strasbourg’s main rivals are Metz and the two teams face each other in the Derby de l’Est (The Eastern derby).
