Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Eibar will look to kick off the new La Liga 2 campaign in style when they welcome Tenerife to their Estadio Municipal de Ipurua. Los Armeros did well to make it to the Segunda Division playoffs last term, but Girona proved to be a big catch for them. The club chiefs have signed permanent deals with the likes of Jose Rios Reina, Chema Rodriguez, Juan Berrocal, Jon Bautista, and Matheus Pereira in the summer transfer window, but important midfielder Edu Exposito is no longer part of the team as the 26-year-old joined La Liga side Espanyol.
Los Insulares, on the other hand, were anything but impressive in pre-season, with the team failing to record a win in warm-up games, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. A man to watch in the away team will be Eladio Zorrilla, who scored 11 goals in the Spanish second tier last term.
Highlighted Player (Yoshinori Muto):
Yoshinori Muto joined FC Tokyo youth school at the age of 16 and he remained at the club until 2010. After spending three years at Keio University, the Japanese striker returned to Tokyo in 2013 and it has to be noted that he played 51 league matches for FC Tokyo, scoring 23 goals for the club.
On 30 May, 2015 Muto signed a contract with Mainz and he has been playing for the Bundesliga outfit ever since. Muto made 20 appearances for Mainz in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign, scoring seven league goals for the club. The pacey attacker made his Japan debut on 5 September, 2014 in a friendly against Uruguay. He came as a substitute after 58 minutes, replacing Yusuke Minagawa. He scored his first goal for the Samurai Blue four days later in a 2-2 draw with Venezuela.
Yoshinori Muto was born in Tokyo on 15 July, 1992. Muto is a centre forward and his side positions are left wing and attacking midfield. His market value on 22 July, 2016 was €5.5 million.
Highlighted Team (Tenerife):
Tenerife is a Spanish club based in the Canary Islands. Tenerife were founded on November 21, 1912, with the team playing home games at Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez. The stadium was opened on July 25, 1925 and it can hold up to 22,824 spectators.
Los Insulares established them as the elite division club in the 1990s, but in 1999 the team suffer relegation to La Liga 2. Tenerife played in la liga two seasons more (2001/02, 2009/10), but they have been competing in lower leagues ever since. Los Insulares wear white and blue shirts when playing at home, whereas light green is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Tenerife participated in the UEFA Cup in the 1993/94 season, with the team eliminating the likes of Auxerre and Olympiakos before losing to Juventus in the last 16. Three years later the Spanish club did remarkably well to make it to the UEFA Cup semis. Las Palmas are considered Tenerife’s main rivals.
