Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Burgos and Malaga square off against each other at Estadio El Plantio in the opening match of the season. Burgos were having their ups and downs in pre-season, with the team beating both Oviedo and Santander, sharing the spoils with Valladolid and Ponferradina, while losing to Osasuna. The hosts are not expected to shine in the 2022/2023 Segunda Division campaign, and it is no surprise the bookies see them as underdogs in Sunday’s clash.
Defender Jose Matos should be the only absentee in the home team. Los Boquerones, on the other hand, aim to make amends for the unsuccessful 2021/2022 La Liga 2 campaign, and seeing that the club chiefs have added the likes of Ruben Castro, Fran Sol, Esteban Burgos, Unai Bustinza, and Jonas Ramalho to the squad, away win should definitely be considered.
