Rayo Vallecano
Buoyed by a 4-1 win over Elche, Athletic Club will look to keep on climbing the standings when they host Rayo Vallecano to their Estadio San Mames on Matchday 6. The Lions made a fine start to the season, and, as a result, a win over Rayo could see them climb to the Champions League berth. Despite failing to find the net in the last league match, Inaki Williams should continue to lead the line for the Basques, whilst both Ander Herrera and Yuri Berchiche remain in the recovery room.
Yeray Alvarez should recover in time to face los Vallecanos. The capital club, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Valencia, but seeing that they suffered four defeats in the previous five meetings with Athletic at San Mames, home triumph should be considered. Both Salvi Sanchez and Andres Martin are out of contention with injuries for the visiting team.

Iker Muniain was once considered one of the most talented players in Spain, but he obviously failed to reach his full potential. Munian is an attacking midfielder, who is capable of playing as a forward as well and he began his youth career at Chantrea. In 2005 he made probably the best decision of his career as he joined Athletic Bilbao youth academy.
He made his debut for Athletic Bilbao on 30 July, 2009 in a 1-0 loss to Young Boys in the Europa League. Iker Munian impressed in the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign with the Lions, scoring nine goals in all competitions, but he failed to make a bigger progress. The Athletic Bilbao product has been struggling with injuries and it has to be noted that the injury he suffered against Sevilla on 4 April, 2015 could have ruined his career.
However, he returned to action on 20 December, but he was playing below expectations in the second half of the season. Iker Munian made his Spain debut on 29 February, 2012 in a friendly against Venezuela. La Roja won the match 5-0 and Munian came as a substitute in the 74th minute of the match.

Rayo Vallecano is a Spanish football club from the Valleas neighbourhood in Madrid and are founded in the year 1924. The club is playing in the Primera Division since 2011 after being in active in the lower divisions for a longer period of time. Rayo Vallecano currently plays it’s home games in the Teresa Rivero Stadium which is also known as the Nuevo Vallecas stadium and holds a capacity of 15 500 seats. The Nuevo Vallecas stadium is one of the smallest ones in the Primera Division. The club colors of Rayo Vallecano are white and red and is also known as Los Vallecanos. Rayo Vallecano is known for it’s ultra’s which are radical left winged political sided.
In the clubs history Rayo Vallecano never won any big prizes. The biggest achievement was in 2000 when the club qualified for the UEFA Cup after winning the Fair Play spot. Rayo Vallecano was one of the biggest surprises in Europe that season and even managed to get to the quarter finals where Rayo got eliminated by Deportivo Alaves. There are a lot of famous players that played for Rayo Vallecano during their career such as: Julen Lopetegui, Jordi Figueras, Victor Onokpo and Ismael Urzaiz.
