Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Sparta Rotterdam have been making progress week by week and will try to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they face FC Emmen on Saturday afternoon. De Kasteelheren won three of their last five Eredivisie games and, as a result, they are just one point behind the playoffs berth. Both Tim Coremans and Laurent Jans are likely to miss the match with injuries, while Nick Olij remains in the recovery room. Shurandy Sambo is sidelined through suspension and won’t be available for next two league fixtures.
Struggling FC Emmen, on the other hand, will look to put an end to their five-game winless run in Dutch top flight, but beating Sparta on the road is easier said than done. The Kannibals have been struggling in front of goal of late, with the team scoring just one goal in their last five league games. Since the visiting side failed to win in the previous four encounters with Sparta Rotterdam, we are positive that the hosts will pick up all three points from this match. Maikel Kieftenbeld is out of contention through a long-term ACL injury, while all Jeff Hardeveld, Metehan Güclü and Mart Lieder face races against the clock to be fit for this fixture.
