Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Vitesse play host to Emmen at their GelreDome on day 11 of the new Eredivisie campaign. The Vitas desperately needed a win against Cambuur, and they managed to get one in style (3-0), but they need to keep on making progress if they are to escape the danger zone. Defender Mitchell Dijks is sidelined with a knee injury, but he should be the only absentee in the home team.
Emmen, on the other hand, are on a seven-game winless run, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Vitesse’s party at GelreDome. In their last encounter in Arnhem the Vitas outplayed Dick Lukkien’s troops 3-1, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself. Defender Miguel Araujo is back from suspension, while midfielder Maikel Kleiftenbeld remains on the sidelines with an ACL problem.
Highlighted Player (Anco Jansen):
Born in Zwolle, Netherlands on March 9, 1989, Anco Jansen is a pacey winger who started his senior career in his home-town club FC Zwolle. After scoring two goals in 40 league appearances for the club, he joined Groningen in 2008, but he did not see any game action with the Green and White Army in the Eredivisie.
Anco Jansen played for the likes of Cambuur, SC Veendam, De Graafschap, Roda JC, and Boluspor as well before joining FC Emmen in 2017. Anco Jansen made his Eredivisie debut with FC Emmen in a 2-1 win over ADO Den Haag on August 12, 2018, with the winger finding the net after 42 minutes.
His main position is left winger, but he is used as both centre-forward and attacking midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right. Anco Jansen has yet to earn a call-up with the Netherlands national football team.
