Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
West Ham United will look to keep their 100% record in Group B intact when they take on Steaua in their last group match. The Hammers look unstoppable in the Conference League, and they surely want to finish the process in style. Maxwel Cornet is a major doubt, while summer signing Lucas Paqueta remains in the recovery room. Powerful forward Michail Antonio is widely expected to return to the starting XI.
Steaua, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom with only two points in their pocket. The rock-bottom side missed out on a place in the knockout stages, and we do not believe that they are capable of putting an end to West Ham’s brilliant winning run. All Ovidiu Popescu, Ionut Pantiru, and Lucian Cristea are sidelined with injuries for the Romanian outfit, while winger David Miculescu serves a one-game ban.
Highlighted Player (Saïd Benrahma):
Said Benrahma is an Algeria international who started his club career at Nice. The pacey winger made his Ligue 1 debut during the 2013/2014 season and after scoring 3 goals in 17 appearances for les Aiglons in the French top flight, he moved to the Championship team Brentford in the summer of 2018.
Said Benrahma was born in Ain Temouchent, Algeria on August 10, 1995 and it has to be noted that he played for the likes of Angers, Gazelec Ajaccio and Chateauroux on loan before joining the Griffin Park outfit. The Algerian footballer impressed in the 2018/2019 Championship season, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists for his teammates.
His main position is right winger, but he is used as a left winger as well. Speaking of his international career, Said Benrahma made his debut for the Algeria national team on October 13, 2015 in a 1-0 win over Senegal.
Highlighted Team (West Ham):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals.
A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
