Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Gillingham and Hartlepool take on each other at Priestfield Stadium in the League Two round 27. The Gills aim to recover from the FA Cup defeat to Leicester City, and they will give 100% to put an end to their four-match losing run in the English fourth tier. The rock-bottom side are desperate to get back on course, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways.
Defender Elkan Baggott remains in the recovery room, while Mikael Mandron should be recalled to the starting XI. The Pools, on the other hand, failed to shock Stoke City in the FA Cup round 3, meaning that they will be fully focused on the League Two in the remainder of the season. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Hartlepool have already suffered eight defeats on the road this season. New signing Matt Dolan should make his debut against Gillingham, while Euan Murray has overcome his injury.
