Groningen and Feyenoord take on each other at Euroborg on day 16 of the 2022/2023 Eredivisie campaign. Groningen aim to put an end to their three-match losing run, and seeing that they are only one point clear of the relegation zone, Sunday’s clash is of big importance for the Green and White Army. The good news for the hosts is that defender Mike te Wierik is back to the starting XI after serving his one-game ban at Excelsior.
The Rotterdammers, on the other hand, are leading the chase for the Eredivisie trophy. In 2011 he moved to fellow Iranian club Damash Gilan and it has to be noted that he scored 10 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club. The AZ Alkmaar winger, who is used as an attacking midfielder as well, scored 21 goals in 33 appearances in the Eredivisie in the 2017/2018 season. Speaking of his international career, Alireza JahanBakhsh scored two goals for Iran on the road to Russia and he will represent his homeland at the 2018 FIFA world cup finals.
Due to his style of play, Jahanbakhsh has always been compared to legendary Iranian footballer Mehdi Mahdavikia.

Back in 1908 football club Wilhemina was founded in the pub De Vereeniging and they played their home games in blue-sleeved red shirts and white shorts. The club’s name was changed to Hillesluise in 1909 and soon they became RVV Celeritas.
