Our prediction for this MLS match:
Buoyed by a 2-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes, Atlanta United will be aiming to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Toronto in the Major League Soccer round 2. The Five Stripes continue life without Josef Martinez, who left the club in the last transfer window, and, in his absence, a man to watch in the home team will be talented midfielder Thiago Almada, who scored a brace in the last season opener. Santiago Sosa is banned for the match, while all Georgios Giakoumakis, Tyler Wolff, Machop Chol, and Osvaldo Alonso are out of contention with injuries.
The Reds, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to DC United, but seeing that Atlanta United have turned their Mercedes-Benz Stadium into a real fortress, home win should be considered. Lorenzo Insigne’s absence is yet another reason why we are going to bet on Gonzalo Pineda’s troops.
