Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Following a routine 2-0 win over Newcastle United, Manchester City will look to melt Arsenal’s advantage in the Premier League table when they take on Crystal Palace on Matchday 27. The Citizens are eyeing their third consecutive league win, and the bookies see them as hot favourites to pick up all three points from Saturday’s clash. Bernardo Silva, who seal the victory at the weekend, is pushing for a start, while Pep Guardiola has no fresh injury worries.
The Eagles, on the other hand, aim to recover from a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, but given their nine-match winless run in the Premier League, away win should be considered. France forward Jean-Philippe Mateta is widely expected to return to the starting line-up, whereas midfielder Cheick Doucoure serves a one-game ban. Defender Nathan Ferguson remains on the sidelines with the lack of fitness.
Highlighted Player (Wilfried Zaha):
Wilfried Zaha is a football player who started his youth career at Crystal Palace aged 12. On 27 March 2010, Zaha made his first-team debut against Cardiff City and he continued playing for the Eagles until 25 January 2013, when he signed a deal with Manchester United for a reported £15m.
However, the pacey winger made no more than two appearances for Manchester United in the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign. In 2015 he joined his boyhood club Crystal Palace and went on to score four goals for the Eagles in the 2014/2015 Premier League season.
Wilfried Zaha was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, but he decided to represent England on the international stage. He made his debut for the Three Lions on 11 November, 2012 in a friendly game against Sweden. Wilfried Zaha made 13 appearances for the England U21 team as well and he scored one goal for the side.
Highlighted Team (Man City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight.
Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), but both managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097.
Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
