Saturday’s football game at Estadio de Balaidos pits together Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano, the two teams who shared the spoils with Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao respectively at the weekend. Os Celeste have been producing fine displays of late, but they need to start winning on a regular basis if they are to represent Spain in European competitions next term. Hugo Mallo is a Spanish footballer who plays for Celta Vigo as a full back. Mallo, who is a capable of playing at centre back if needed, was born in Marin on 22 June, 1991 and he has been playing for Os Celeste since 2009.
During his youth career Hugo Mallo played for the likes of Porvir and Pontevedra, but he made the biggest progress at Celta Vigo. The Celta defender has three caps for Spain U21 team and he played for the U19 and the U20 teams as well in the past. On 9 January, 2013, Mallo suffered a serious knee injury and, as a result, he was forced to miss the rest of the season.
The right-footed player has a contract with Celta Vigo which expires on 30 June, 2019. You should bear in mind that he scored one goal in 34 appearances for the Galician outfit in the 2015/2016 Primera Division campaign. In the 2014/2015 campaign he scored four goals for Celta in the national championship.

The club is playing in the Primera Division since 2011 after being in active in the lower divisions for a longer period of time. Rayo Vallecano currently plays it’s home games in the Teresa Rivero Stadium which is also known as the Nuevo Vallecas stadium and holds a capacity of 15 500 seats. The Nuevo Vallecas stadium is one of the smallest ones in the Primera Division. The club colors of Rayo Vallecano are white and red and is also known as Los Vallecanos. Rayo Vallecano is known for it’s ultra’s which are radical left winged political sided.
In the clubs history Rayo Vallecano never won any big prizes. The biggest achievement was in 2000 when the club qualified for the UEFA Cup after winning the Fair Play spot. Rayo Vallecano was one of the biggest surprises in Europe that season and even managed to get to the quarter finals where Rayo got eliminated by Deportivo Alaves.
