Frosinone
Bari and Frosinone square off against each other at Stadio San Nicola in the closing match of Saturday’s program. Bari are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win, and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in the Serie B derby. Both Folorunsho and Ceter are out of contention with injuries, while there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Canarini, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over SPAL and Venezia. Since Frosinone have been impressive at the back of late as well, we are tempted to put our money on under 2.5 goals. In the first half of the season Frosinone defeated Bari 1-0 thanks to Gennaro Borrelli’s late goal. Midfielder Luca Mazzitelli misses out with injury, but he should be the only absentee in the away team. Bari defender should have talented forward Samuele Mulattieri at bay as the 22-year-old scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Venezia.

Fabio Lucioni is a product of Ternana football school. Lucioni played for the youth team of Ternana from 2002 to 2005 and he eventually made 14 appearances for the first team. The 185-cm-tall defender played for the likes of Monopoli, Noicattaro, Gela, Barletta, Spezia and Reggina in the past as well before joining Benevento in 2014.
Lucioni has established himself as a first-team regular at the club and it has to be noted that he scored three goals in 46 appearances for Benevento in the 2016/2017 Serie B campaign. The Stregoni secured promotion to the Serie A by beating Carpi in the play-offs final, meaning that Lucioni will have a chance to test a top-flight football in the 2017/2018 season.
Lucioni’s main position is centre-back and his contract with Benevento expires on June 30, 2018. The left-footed defender, who was born in Terni on September 25, 1987, has yet to earn a call-up for the Italian national football team.

Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
