Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Rock-bottom Lugo will be aiming to keep their survival hopes alive when they take on Ponferradina on Matchday 34. Lugo are having a season to forget, with the team collecting no more than 25 points in the process, and given their poor performance in a 2-0 loss to Cartagena, home win should not be considered. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but both Bruno Pires and Xavier Torres are major doubts.
La Ponfe, on the other hand, aim to escape the relegation zone, and their fine form in March is certainly giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of upcoming challenges. Since David Gallego’s troops will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting side. Keep in mind, though, that defender Jose Amo is banned for the match.
