Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
All eyes will be on Allianz Riviera when Nice and PSG face each other in the Ligue 1 derby on Matchday 30. Les Aiglons have drawn each of their last four league matches, and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from Saturday’s encounter as well. All Jordan Lotomba, Sofiane Diop, and Youcef Atal remain in the recovery room, but there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
Les Parisiens, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, with the team losing to both Rennes and Lyon in front of home fans, and, no doubt, they are low on confidence ahead of the trip to Nice. Neymar has been sorely missed of late, and, in his absence, we do not believe that the league leaders are capable of grabbing more than one point from the Allianz Riviera showdown. All Presnel Kimpembe, Nordi Mukiele, Carlos Soler, and Sergio Ramos are injured for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Lionel Messi):
Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realized his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment.
Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015).
In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.
Highlighted Team (Nice):
OGC Nice are a football club that participate in French Ligue 1. Les Aiglons welcome their opponents at Allianz Riviera and the club was founded on 9 July, 1904 by Marquis Massengy d’ Auzac.
OGC Nice won their first Ligue 1 trophy back in 1951 and eight years later they clinched their fourth and last domestic title. Speaking of the French Cup, les Aiglons won their third Coupe de France title in 1997. Allianz Riviera has been the home ground of the club since September, 2013 and it has to be noted that the construction of the venue cost €250 million. OGC Nice play their home games in red and black shirts and black shorts, while the colour of their away kits is white.
The Ligue 1 team booked their place in the Europa League group stages for the 2016/2017 season for the first time in the club’s history and they were drawn alongside Schalke 04, Salzburg and Krasnodar in Group I. However, they were beaten by Schalke in their Europa League opener in front of home fans.
