Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Tottenham and Bournemouth, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the season finale, face each other in London on Matchday 31. Spurs recorded a very important win over Brighton at the weekend, with the team remaining in the Champions League berth, and they are seen as hot favourites to beat the Cherries on home soil. Harry Kane, who sealed the victory against the Seagulls, is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line, while all Davies, Emerson Royal, Sessegnon, Bentancur, Bissouma, and Lucas Moura remain in the recovery room.
Interim boss Cristian Stellini will watch the game from the stands following his sending-off in the last league match. The Cherries, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Leicester, but they will have a mountain to climb in Saturday’s encounter. Tottenham are a real force to be reckoned with at home, and seeing that Bournemouth have already suffered ten defeats on the road this term, we are going to bet on the capital club. Junior Stanislas and Ryan Fredericks should be the only absentees in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Harry Kane):
Widely regarded as one of England’s best strikers at the moment, Harry Kane enjoyed a meteoric rise at Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 21 Premier League goals during the 2014/2015 campaign to be voted PFA Young Player of the Year.
The highly rated striker went on to surpass that achievement the following season as he helped Tottenham Hotspur mount a serious title challenge for the first time in club’s recent history and he made seamless transition to international football. Kane scored four goals in his first ten appearances for England to prove he was here to stay and at the same time established himself as a first choice striker in Roy Hodgson’s squad ahead of the Euro 2016 finals.
Kane is a modern striker, who is extremely dangerous in the opposition box, but it was some outstanding goals from distance as well as link-up play with teammates that earned him an excellent reputation in world football. Kane is expected to lead both Tottenham and England in years to come, that is if he can resist the lure of top European clubs that continue to cast admiring glances his way.
Highlighted Team (Bournemouth):
Bournemouth are a professional football club that was formed back in 1890. The Cherries secured promotion to the Premier League in the 2015/2016 season, with the team making it to the English top flight for the first time ever.
Bournemouth play their home games at Dean Court and the capacity of the stadium is 11,469.
The Cherries enjoyed a very successful season on their Premier League debut, with the team beating the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the national championship. Glenn Murray scored the winner for Bournemouth in the 1-0 win over the capital club at Stamford Bridge and that is probably the greatest victory in the club’s history.
Bournemouth have been participating in the FA Cup since 1913, but they have yet to win the trophy in the prestigious competition. It has to be noted that the club’s original name Boscombe Athletic Football Club was changed to Bournemouth back in 1923 as the club owners wanted the Cherries to be more representative of the district.
