Strasbourg
Reims and Strasbourg kick off Saturday’s program in the Ligue 1 round 32. Les Rouges et Blancs aim to bounce back from a heavy 3-0 loss to Rennes, and a win over Strasbourg will see them move closer to the Conference League berth. All Busi, van Bergen, and Lopy are pushing for recalls to the startin XI, while both Jens Cajuste and Azor Matusiwa are back from suspension.
Le Racing, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-1 win over Ajaccio, but given their poor away record in the 2022/2023 season, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from the match. Senegal forward Habib Diallo returns to the starting XI after serving his one-game ban at the weekend, while all Gerzino Nyamsi, Dimitri Lienard, and Eiji Kawashima remain in the recovery room. As always, the opposition back-line should have experienced striker Kevin Gameiro at bay.
Highlighted Player (Alexander Djiku):
Alexander Djiku is yet another product of Bastia youth school. Djiku’s main position is centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well. The 182-cm tall footballer of Senegalese descent made his senior debut with Bastia in December 2013 in a Coupe de la Ligue game against Evian.
After scoring one goal in 45 appearances for les Bleus in the league, Djiku joined Ligue 1 side Caen on July 11, 2017, signing a four-year contract with the Stade Michel D’Ornano outfit. The French defender has a contract with Caen, which should expire on June 30, 2022.
Djiku is well known for his reckless tackles and it is important to note that he was shown 10 yellow cards in 28 appearances for Caen in the 2017/2018 Ligue 1 campaign. Alexander Djiku wears No. 24 jersey when playing for Caen, but he has yet to make his debut with the French national team.

Reims are a French football club founded in 1931. Reims welcome their rivals at Stade Auguste Delaune, which can hold up to 21,684 people. Believe it or not, Reims won six Ligue 1 titles (1948/1949, 1952/1953, 1954/1955, 1957/1958, 1959/1960, 1961/1962). To make things even better for the fans, Reims participated in the European Cup final on two occasions.
In 1956 they faced Real Madrid in the title game and despite taking the lead after six minutes, the French side eventually suffered a 4-3 loss to los Blancos at Parc des Princes. Three years later Reims had a chance to get their revenge on Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants once again won the European Cup, with Mateos and Di Stefano finding the net in the 2-0 victory over Albert Batteux.
The club’s most notable footballer is Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals for France at the 1958 FIFA World Cup finals. Reims’ home colours are red and white, with the team wearing white when playing on the road.
