Groningen are fighting hard to secure the Eredivisie survival, but they do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of the visit of Nijmegen. The Trots van het Noorden are on a six-game losing run, and, no doubt, the lack of confidence should prove to be a big problem for the home team.

The Trots van het Noorden (Pride of the North) are well known for their white home shirts with red stripes, while purple is the dominant colour of their away kit.
