Elche
Getafe will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Real Madrid when they welcome Elche to their Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Matchday 35. Los Azulones are eager to escape the relegation zone and they are likely to fight tooth and nail at los Franjiverdes. Both Suarez and Unal return from suspension, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
Elche, on the other hand, failed to secure the Primera Division survival, but they obviously want to finish the season in style. The rock-bottom side proved their worth in a home win over Atletico Madrid at the weekend, but given their poor away record, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Getafe. Both Omar Mascarell and Jose Angel Carmona are major doubts and the duo will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.

A central defender who can equally be deployed as a right-back, Djene Dakonam has emerged as one of the most influential Getafe players in the 2017/18 season. His road to prominence was a long one, however, and Djene had to bide his time in order to be recognized for quality he undoubtedly possesses. Dapaong-born Togolese international, Djene Dakonam made his first football steps as a youth member of Etoile Filante.
Spells in Benin and Cameroon with Tonnerre d’Abomey and Coton Sport, respectively, saw Djene Dakonam grab attention of Alcoron, who moved in to bring him to Spain in 2014. During two years in Spain Djene Dakonam made 59 league appearances before moving to Sint-Truidense. It was in Belgium that Djene Dakonam proved his defensive versatility and Getafe came calling the very next year, in 2017.
Djene proved to be an instant hit with the Azulones and is hoping a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs will not be too far away for him. The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have been sniffing around him during the summer transfer window in 2018 but were ultimately scared off by his £31 million release clause.

Established in 1923, Elche is a Spanish club that competes in La Liga. Los Franjiverdes welcome their rivals at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero, the stadium which can hold up to 33,732 spectators. The venue was opened on September 8, 1976.
Elche wear white shirts with green stripe and white shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. The club’s biggest success came in 1969 as Elche made it to the Copa del rey final. Los Franjiverdes faced Club Atletico de Bilbao in the Spanish Cup final, with the Basques winning the match by one goal to nil.
