Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
There will be fireworks when Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano face each other in the local derby at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Valencia, with the team dropping to third place in the standings. Carlo Ancelotti’s men, though, have a chance to overtake Atletico Madrid in second place and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the fellow capital club. Vinicius Junior is banned for the match, while both Mariano Diaz and Eden Hazard remain in the recovery room.
Los Vallecanos, on the other hand, are stuck in the middle of the table. Considering that Rayo experienced all sorts of problems at the back in back-to-back losses to Betis (1-3) and Espanyol (1-2), which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Madrid.
Highlighted Player (Karim Benzema):
Striker Karim Benzema came through his youth club Bron Terraillon in Olympique Lyon were he went through all the youth teams.
On January 15, 2005 Benzema made his debut for the first team of Lyon that season but did not have much playing time. In the 2007-2008 season he was indeed a permanent fixture in the team and he got his break . He grew that season right into a crowd favorite and clubs like Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan showed interest in him.
Benzema in 2008 (like 2005, 2006, and 2007) was in the champions with Olympique Lyon and had no interest in leaving France. In 2008, Karim was named best French footballer.
