Our prediction for this Europa League match:
All eyes will be on Puskas Arena when Sevilla and Roma face each other in the Europa League final. Los Sevillanos did well to eliminated Juventus in the semis and they are now on a quest to win their record seventh EL title. Jesus Corona and Pape Gueye are ineligible for the competition, while Fernando remains in the recovery room. Experienced wing-back Jesus Navas is back from the La Liga ban.
Jose Mourinho’s troops, on the other hand, defended well in the double-header with Bayer Leverkusen. Considering that the Giallorossi are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in the title game, we are tempted to put our money on under 2.5 goals. Both Rick Karsdorp and Marash Kumbulla remain in the recovery room, while Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic, Rui Patricio, and Leonardo Spinazzola are major doubts. In their last meeting in the Europa League Sevilla defeated Roma 2-0.
Highlighted Player (Marcos Acuña):
Marcos Acuna is an Argentina international who plays for Sporting Club de Portugal as a winger. Born in Zapala, Argentina on October 28, 1991, Acuna started his senior career at Ferro Carril Oeste. After scoring 5 goals in 117 appearances for the Argentine club from 2010 to 2014, he moved to Racing Club in the summer of 2014.
The 172-cm-tall footballer looked sharper in front of goal during his spell with la Academia, scoring 16 goals in 78 appearances for the club. In June 2017 Marcos Acuna decided to take a step forward in his career, joining Portuguese outfit Sporting CP. He made his debut with the Lions in a 2-0 win over Deportivo Aves on August 6, 2017.
Acuna plays for the Argentine national team as well, making his debut for la Albiceleste on November 15, 2016 in a World Cup qualifier against Colombia. His main position is left-back, but he is used as both left midfielder and left winger as well.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma is a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. The Prince of Rom made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
