A place in the EFL Cup round 2 will be at stake when Barnsley and Tranmere face each other at Oakwell on Tuesday evening. The Tykes kickstarted their League One campaign in amazing manner, with the team rolling over Port Vale 7-0 and it is no wonder the odds for home win have been dropping. Republic of Ireland international Corey O’Keeffe limped off with injury, with his countryman likely to step up. The opposition back-line should have Devante Cole at bay as the 28-year-old scored a hat-trick in the season opener at the weekend.
The Super Whites, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 2-1 home defeat to Barrow on Saturday, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the League One side. Both Kieron Morris and Luke Norris are pushing for a start after the duo came off the bench in the opening match of their League Two campaign.

Born in Trowbridge, England, on October 30, 1994, Jordan Turnbull is a professional footballer who plays for Northampton Town as a defender. Turnbull is a product of Swindon Town football academy, but in 2007 he was spotted by Southampton scouts.
Despite signing a professional contract with Southampton, he did not see any game action with the Saints at senior level. The English footballer made no fewer than 86 league appearances for Swindon Town during his loan spell with the Robins, and in 2016 he signed a contract with Coventry City.
Jordan Turnbull spent the 2017/2018 on loan Partick Thistle before joining Northampton Town permanently. Speaking of his international career, the Northampton centre-back has two caps with the England U19 team, and one cap with the England U20. Barnsley are an English club nicknamed the Tykes. The club was founded in 1887 and it has to be noted that they spend more seasons in the Championship than any other club in the history. The Tykes played in the Sheffield and District League from 1890, but in 1895 they were part of the Midland League. Barnsley play their home games at Oakwell, the stadium that was built in 1887.
The capacity of the stadium is 23,009 and it was opened back in 1888, just one year after the club’s foundation. The Tykes made it to the FA Cup final in 1910, but Newcastle United proved to be a big catch for the Oakwell outfit in the title game.
Nonetheless, Barnsley won the FA cup trophy in 1912 and that is considered the club’s biggest success. Barnsley defeated West Bromwich Albion in the two-legged tie (0-0, 1-0) to clinch the prestigious trophy for the first and only time in their history.
