Buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sutton, Forest Green will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they face Crewe in the League Two round 7. The Green Army did well to put an end to their three-game winless run at the weekend and, no doubt, the triumph gave them a confidence boost. Nathan Holland limped off with injury on the stroke of half-time at Sutton, with Tyrese Omotoye likely to step up.
The Railwaymen, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Bradford City, with the team beating MK Dons 3-1 in front of home fans. Crewe, though, have been struggling on the travels this season, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. Fit-again forward Courtney Baker-Richardson should keep his place in Crewe’s starting XI after opening his goal-scoring account at the weekend.
