Saturday’s matinee at the Stadium of Light pits together Sunderland and Middlesbrough, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. The Black Cats aim to build on back-to-back wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Watford and they are seen as slim favourites to beat the Boro on home soil. Barring any fresh injury worries, Tony Mowbray is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated the Hornets at the weekend, but all Pritchard, Dack, Cirkin, Ekwah, Matete, Alese, Evans, and Stewart remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Middlesbrough, on the other hand, are eyeing their fifth consecutive win in all competitions. As the visitors managed to score two or more goals in each of those four matches, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Midfielder Lewis O’Brien should be the only absentee in the visiting team.
