All eyes will be on Stade Velodrome when Olympique Marseille and Brighton go head to head at Stade Velodrome in the Europa League derby. OM came from behind to share the spoils with struggling Dutch powerhouse Ajax in their opener and they are now on a quest to record their first win of the process. Marseille want to recover from a 3-2 loss to Monaco and we are positive that they will adopt yet another attack-minded approach in Thursday’s clash. Both Geoffrey Kondogbia and Renan Lodi should miss out with injuries for the home team.
The Seagulls, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 6-1 loss to Aston Villa at Villa Park and given their poor display in a 3-2 defeat to AEK in their Group B opener, home win should be considered. All Pascal Gross, Julio Enciso, James Milner, and Adam Lallana are out of contention through injuries.

Joel Veltman is a Dutch footballer who was born in Velsen on 15 January, 1992. Veltman started his youth career at VV Ijmuiden and in 2011 he was spotted by Ajax scouts. In the 2012/2013 Eredivisie campaign he played for the first team and he made seven league appearances for the Amsterdammers back then.
The centre back, who plays as a right back as well made six appearances for Jong Ajax as well, scoring one goal for the team in the Eerste Divisie. Veltman has 8 caps for Netherlands U20 team and he made his debut for the first team in November 2013 against Colombia. He started the match and he played 90 minutes in the goalless draw with the South American side.
Joel Veltman represented the Oranje at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. It has to be noted that the Dutch defender made 34 league appearances for Ajax in the 2015/2016 Eredivisie campaign, scoring one goal in the process. In the 2013/2014 season he won his second Eredivisie trophy with Ajax.

Olympique de Marseille are considered one of the best French football clubs. Les Olympiens won their ninth Ligue 1 title in 2010, but winning of the 1992/1993 Champions League trophy is seen as the club’s biggest success. Marseille defeated Italian giants Milan in the title game, with Basile Boli scoring the winner (1-0) in the Olympiastadion showdown.
It has to be noted, though, that the Stade Velodrome outfit were banned from defending the title in the 1993/1994 season after being involved in a match-fixing scandal.
