Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Estadio El Sadar will host Friday’s football game between Osasuna and Granada, the two teams who face each other in the opening match of the La Liga round 10. Los Rojillos aim to recover from a heavy 4-0 loss to Real Madrid and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Both Johan Mojica and Moi Gomez are sidelined with injuries, while Unai Garcia is a major doubt and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
Los Granadinos, on the other hand, produced a fine display in a 2-2 draw with title hopefuls Barcelona before the international break, with Bryan Zaragoza scoring a brace. As a result, Zaragoza earned a spot in the Spain squad and, no doubt, he will be the man to watch in the away team. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Granada have been struggling at the back in the first half of the season. Both Victor Diaz and Raul Fernandez are injured for the away team.
Highlighted Player (Chimy Ávila):
Popularly known as "Chimy," Ezequiel Avila 's youth career was spent playing football in Argentina at Tiro Federal. An Argentinian himself, the Rosario native signed his first professional contract with Federal in 2010 and made his debut appearance in the same year, featuring in a 2-0 away loss to Almirante Brown on the 16th of October.
Chimy then spent an additional five years at the club, making just 13 appearances before joining San Lorenzo on a free transfer. His Lorenzo spell generated his first professional goal, which came on the 20th of April, 2016, in a Copa Libertadores game against LDO Quito. In 2017, he left Lorenzo to join Spanish outfit SD Huesca on a two-year loan deal. This move marked Chimy's first time playing club football outside Argentina.
At Huesca, the winger scored 17 goals in 70 appearances. At the end of the loan period in 2019, Chimy returned to Lorenzo, who, in turn, sold him to LaLiga side CA Osasuna on a transfer worth 5 million euros. Born on the 6th of February, 1994, the 25-year-old is currently on a four-year contract with Los Rojillos.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit.
Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
