Argentina will look to recover from a heart-breaking loss to Uruguay when they take on Brazil in Superclasico de las Americas. La Albiceleste failed to break the deadlock in the last group game and they face yet another tough task against the Selecao. As always, a man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Leo Messi, while Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is pushing for a start. Angel Di Maria should start against Brazil as well, while defender Gonzalo Montiel remains in the recovery room.
The hosts, on the other hand, head into the match without Real Madrid ace Vinicius Junior, who suffered an injury in a 2-1 loss to Colombia. Anyhow, we do not believe that Brazil are capable of grabbing more than one point from the derby as they have been struggling in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers under Fernando Diniz. Al-Hilal ace Neymar remains on the sidelines with injury.

However, Selecao failed to advance past the quarter-finals of the last two tournaments last winning their World Cup in 2002. Their last title was the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and the star-studded team will be looking to get back to winning ways at this year’s historic Copa America Centenario in the United States.
