Sparta Rotterdam
Following a 2-1 win over NEC Nijmegen, Ajax will look to move closer to the Champions League berth when they take on Rotterdam on Saturday afternoon. The Amsterdammers have been showing signs of improvement of late and, as a result, the odds for home win are dropping. Barring any fresh injury worries, John van ‘t Schip is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Nijmegen at the weekend.
The Rotterdammers, on the other hand, defeated Heracles thanks to Joshua Kitolano’s goal in their last league match, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. Sparta, though, were beaten by Ajax in each of their last six meetings at Johan Cruyff Arena, which is probably the main reason why we are going to place our bets on the in-form hosts. As for the away team, Pelle Clement is sidelined with a knee injury, while fellow midfielder Koki Saito is a major doubt.

Born in Apeldoorn, Netherlands on December 19, 1991, Steven Berghuis is a Dutch winger who plays for Ajax in the Eredivisie. Berghuis played for the likes of Vitesse/AGOVV, WSV Apeldoorn, and Go Ahead Eagles during his youth career before joining Twente in 2009.
The 183-cm-tall footballer continued playing for the Reds at senior level. After ending his loan spell with VVV-Venlo, Steven Berghuis joined AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2012, and three years later signed a deal with the Premier League club Watford. After making no more than nine appearances in the English top flight, Berghuis moved to Feyenoord in August 2016, and he has been playing De club aan de Maas ever since.
His main position is right winger, but he is capable of producing fine displays as both left winger and attacking midfielder as well. He made his Netherlands debut on May 27, 2016 in a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland.

Sparta Rotterdam wear white shirts with red strips when playing on home soil, while sky blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. De Kasteelheren have won six Eredivisie trophies. Sparta were the dominant force in the Dutch football in the 1910s, with the team winning their last league title in the 1958/59 season.
De Kasteelheren have won three Dutch Cup trophies as well (1957/58, 1961/62, 1965/66). In the 1985/86 season Sparta last participated in the UEFA Cup, with the team beating Hamburger SC in round 1, while suffering elimination to Borussia Monchengladbach in the second round. Sparta’s stadium Het Kasteel can hold up to 11,926 spectators.
