Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Celta Vigo will be aiming to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad when they face Girona in the La Liga round 22. Os Celeste are eager to escape the danger zone and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the league leaders. Jonathan Bamba is representing Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, while both Franco Cervi and Joseph Aidoo continues to miss out with injuries.
The Catalans, on the other hand, are surprisingly leading the chase for the La Liga trophy. Girona have yet to suffer a loss on the road this term and with Celta being tough to beat at home, the share of spoils is on the horizon. Midfielder Aleix Garcia is back from suspension, while Juanpe has joined the likes of David Lopez, Joel Roca Casals, and Toni Villa in the recovery room. In their last meeting in Galicia the two sides played out a 1-1 draw.
