Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Aberdeen will be aiming to put an end to their eight-game winless run when they take on St Johnstone in the Premiership round 28. The Dons have drawn each of their last four home matches and, no doubt, they are eager to return to winning ways in the national championship. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but Montenegro defender Slobodan Rubezic remains in the recovery room.
The Saints, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, with the team extending their losing run to four games at St. Mirren. As St. Johnstone have been struggling in front of goal of late, we do not believe that Aberdeen will have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. As for the visiting side, all Cameron MacPherson, Ross Sinclair, Drey Wright, and Alistair Crawford remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Highlighted Team (Aberdeen):
Nicknamed the Dons, Aberdeen are professional football club that compete in the Scottish Premiership. Pittodrie Stadium is the club’s home ground, and it can hold up to 20,866 spectators. The Dons were one of the dominant forces in Scottish football during Sir Alex Ferguson’s era, with the team winning three Scottish League titles from 1980 to 1985.
However, Aberdeen clinched their first domestic trophy in the 1954/55 season, with the team finishing the process three points clear of Scottish giants Celtic. The club’s biggest success came in the 1982/83 season when they defeated the famous Spanish club Real Madrid 2-1 in the title game. Later in 1983, Aberdeen won the UEFA Super Cup as they defeated Hamburger SV 2-0 at Volksparkstadion.
The Dons are well known for their red home kit, while away shirt has a shiny gold base colour. Inverness Caledonian are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the North derby.
