Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
After holding Rangers to a goalless draw on Matchday 30, Dundee will look to claim yet another major scalp when they take on Celtic in their Championship group opener. The Dark Blues are eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet, but preventing Celtic attackers from finding the net is easier said than done. Joseph Shaughnessy should be fit for the match despite limping off with injury against the Gers, while there are no fresh selection worries in the home team.
The Hoops, on the other hand, survived Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semis at the weekend and they now aim to cement top position in the Premiership standings. As Celtic hammered Dundee 7-1 in their last meeting in the Scottish top flight, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the league leaders. Fit-again midfielder Luis Palma should once again start from the bench, while both James McCarthy and Daizen Maeda remain in the recovery room.
