Estadi Mallorca Son Moix will host Saturday’s football game between Mallorca and Atletico Madrid. Los Bermellones failed to win the previous four league matches, but thanks to a 1-1 draw with Cadiz they moved one step closer to securing the top flight survival. The good news for the hosts is that Jose Copete is back from suspension, but fellow defender Manuel Copete remains on the sidelines with injury.
Los Rojiblancos, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a 2-0 loss to Deportivo Alaves, with the team beating Athletic Club in front of home fans. Diego Simeone’s troops are with one foot in the Champions League as they are six points clear of the Lions in the La Liga standings. As both Mallorca and Atletico Madrid should be happy with one point from Saturday’s clash, we are going to place our bets on draw. Antoine Griezmann is banned for the match, while Gabriel Paulista remains in the recovery room. Memphis Depay is a major doubt.

Anthony Griezmann is a French forward born on 21st March 1991 in Macon, and he is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting footballers at the moment. The pacey striker started showing his potential shortly after coming through Real Sociedad’s youth academy and he went on to score 46 goals in 179 league appearances for La Real. Excellent displays in Spanish la Liga saw him become a target for a number of top clubs, but he eventually choose to sign for Atletico Madrid, and that proved to be a very good decision.
Griezmann continued the rich vein of form at Vicente Calderon, scoring some important goals as los Colchoneros enjoyed domestic and European success, while also becoming a key member of the France national team.
Playing as a winger or second striker, Griezmann possesses impressive technical skills, he is a strong finisher and still finds time to work hard for his side, so no wonder he is widely regarded as one of the leading forwards on the continent. He won the U19 European Championship with France and is tipped to lead Les Bleus to glory on senior level as well.

Thanks to a win over Deportivo La Coruna in the 2018/2019 Segunda Division play-offs final Mallorca secured promotion to Primera Division. Los Bermellones returned to the Spanish top flight following a six-year absence. Over the years Mallorca have turned their Estadi de son Moix into a real fortress, with the team producing much better showings at home than on the travels.
Opened in June 1999, the venue can hold up to 23,142 people. The club based in Balearic Islands are well known for their red shirts with one black stripe and black shorts. Mallorca’s away colours are white and red. Former Barcelona and Inter ace Samuel Eto’o is undisputedly the most notable footballer who played for the club.
