Our prediction for this MLS match:
Los Angeles Galaxy will be aiming to build on a 2-1 win over Houston Dynamo when they face Dallas at Dignity Health Sports Park. LA Galaxy have a chance to climb to second place in Western Conference. Therefore, we are positive that they will adopt an attack-oriented strategy against Dallas. Dejan Joveljic should continue leading the line for the hosts despite failing to find the net against Orange Crush, whereas Joseph Paintsil remains on the sidelines with injury.
The Toros, on the other hand, head into the midweek clash following back-to-back draws with Houston and Real Salt Lake. Dallas are not regarded as good travellers and given La Galaxy’s signs of improvement, home win should definitely be considered. The likes of Jesus Ferreira, Paxton Pomykal, Alan Velasco, and Geovane Jesus should miss out with injuries for the visiting side, while Bernand Kamungo is pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Martin Caceres):
Martin Caceres is a widely travelled and well known Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Juventus. Primarily a central defender, Caceres is known for his tenacity, pace, strength, tackling and aerial ability. He is versatile and can operate as full-back on either sides too. Caceres started his career at Defensor Sporting and became a regular at a very young age.
In 2007, he went to Spanish side Villarreal but never officially appeared for them. He then was snapped up by Barcelona in 2008 for a reported transfer fee of € 16.5 million. But his only season at the Camp Nou was marred with injuries and moved to Juventus in 2012 via a short stop at Sevilla.
Caceres made his full senior team debut in 2007 and was a successful member of the team that won the 2011 Copa America. He also played at the 2014 World Cup and has 68 national caps to his credit.
Highlighted Team (FC Dallas):
Despite making it to the 2010 MLS Cup final, Dallas eventually failed to win the domestic trophy. The Toros (Bulls) were beaten by Colorado in the final played at BMO Field in Toronto and you should bear in mind that the Rapids scored the winner in the extra time.
That was the first and only time Dallas participated in the MLS Cup final, but in 2016 the club won the Supporters’ Shield and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The Toros play their home games at Toyota Stadium, the venue that was opened in August, 2005. The stadium’s original name was Pizza Hut Park, but in September 2013 it was renamed as Toyota Stadium after Pizza Hut Park left as a main sponsor.
FC Dallas wear red shits with white stripes when playing at home, while their secondary colors are white and blue. Former Ajax and River Plate ace Mauro Rosales, who joined the Toyota Stadium outfit in 2016, is regarded as one of the club most significant stars.
