Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Sligo Rovers will look to claim a major scalp when they face Shamrock Rovers in the Premier Division round 22. Sligo, though, suffered yet another dip in form and given their under-par displays in back-to-back defeats to Waterford (1-4) and Dundalk (0-1), home win should not be considered. Teenage forward Owen Elding is pushing for a start, while the likes of Conor Reynolds, Simon Power, Nando Pijnaker, and John Mahon remain in the recovery room.
The Hoops, on the other hand, are eager to keep their title hopes alive and they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the Irish top flight. Experienced midfielder Richard Towell should be recalled to the starting XI, while the likes of Daniel Cleary, Sean Kavanagh, Rory Gaffney, and Sean Hoare continue to miss out with injuries, speaking of the visiting team.
