Aston Villa
King Power Stadium will be the centre of attention when Leicester City and Aston Villa lock horns in the Premier League round 3. The Foxes shared the spoils with Tottenham in their opener, but Fulham proved to be a big catch for the newcomers at Craven Cottage. Leicester City are eager to register their first win of the process, but they will have a big fish to fry against Unai Emery’s troops. Jamie Vardy should keep his place up front despite his under-par performance in London, while both Conor Coady and Patson Daka remain in the recovery room.
The Villans, on the other hand, suffered a 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the weekend, but their display was much better than the result. As Aston Villa pacey forwards are capable of exploiting on the break, we are tempted to place our bets on Ollie Watkins and Co. this time out. As Matty Cash has joined Tyrone Mings in the recovery room, former Crvena Zvezda right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic should start against Leicester.

Spending his early career playing no-league football, Jamie Vardy made the headlines when he joined Leicester City in a £1 million deal in 2012, but little did he know that he would go on to become a genuine Premier League star just three years later.
The experienced forward helped the Foxes gain promotion to the elite division and then score more than 20 goals as they mounted an unlikely title bid, earning worldwide acclaim as well as a place in the England squad. Vardy went on to score his first two goals for the Three Lions in March 2016 friendlies, with his back-heel goal against Germany in Berlin seeing him instantly become a fans’ favourite.
Over the years, Vardy has earned a reputation as a striker who never gives up and can be a real menace for opposition defenders, but his excellent goalscoring record and good link-up play are enough to suggest he can be described as a mix of old-style pacey forwards and modern strikers.

Aston Villa is one of the three clubs that dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. The Villans host their rivals at Villa Park, the stadium that was opened in 1897 and its’ capacity is 42,682. However, it has to be noted that the highest attendance recorded at the stadium was 76,588 when Aston Villa faced Derby County in the FA Cup back in 1946.
Aston Villa’s fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, the rivalry between Aston Villa and Wolves and Coventry City is big as well. Aston Villa have won seven First Division (Premier League) trophies, with the team clinching seven FA Cup trophies as well.
The team’s biggest success, though, came in 1982 when they won the European Cup. The Villans defeated Bayern Munich (1-0) in the title game and Peter Withe was named the man of the match.
