Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Chesterfield will be aiming to bounce back from a heavy 3-0 loss to MK Dons when they take on Tranmere Rovers in the League Two round 19. The Spireites defeated Barrow 1-0 at home in their last league match, which is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of the visit of Tranmere. Darren Oldaker serves a one-game ban due to the accumulation of yellow cards, but there are no injury worries in the home team.
The Rovers, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, losing to both Cheltenham and AFC Wimbledon, while sharing the spoils with Morecambe. Tranmere, though, have been struggling on the travels and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Chesterfield’s SMH Group Stadium. When the two teams met in the FA Cup back in 2012 Tranmere defeated Chesterfield 2-1, meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge.
