Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Rodney Parade will host Saturday’s football game between Newport County and Cheltenham Town, the two mid-table sides. The Exiles have been in a fine form of late, winning four of their last five league games and a triumph over Cheltenham will see them revive their playoffs hopes. Bearing any fresh injury worries, manager Nelson Jardim is unlikely to make changes to the team that shared the spoils with Bradford City.
The Robins, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-2 win over Barrow. Cheltenham, though, have been struggling on the travels this season and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Newport’s party at Rodney Parade. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Matt Taylor, who scored a brace in the last league match. Ashley Hay is pushing for a recall to the starting XI as well.
Highlighted Team (Newport County):

Nicknamed the Exiles, Newport County are a Welsh club that welcome their rivals at Rodney Parade. Despite being based in Wales, the club compete in the English League Two. Newport County recorded their biggest league win against Merthyr Town (10-0) on April 10, 1930, with the team suffering their heaviest defeat to Newcastle United (0-13) on October 5, 1946. The club’s record league attendance is 24,268. The record was set on October 16, 1937, when Newport County hosted Cardiff City in a Football League Third Division South game.
