Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Following a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town, Grimsby Town will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Tranmere Rovers on Matchday 35. The Mariners have been producing excellent displays in 2025, with the team winning five of their last five league matches. Therefore, they must be brimming with confidence ahead of Tuesday’s encounter. All Jordan Davies, Cameron Gardner, and Charles Vernam are out of contention with injuries for the home team.
The Super Whites, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team failing to win the previous eleven league matches. As Grimsby have been in a much better form of late than Tranmere, we are tempted to place our bets on the home side. Earlier this season one goal separated the two teams, with Justin Obikwu scoring the winner for Grimsby. Defender Connor Wood is banned for the away team.
