All eyes will be on Philips Stadion when PSV and Arsenal go head to head in the first leg of the Champions League last 16. PSV suffered a shocking 3-2 loss to Go Ahead Eagles at the weekend and, as a result, they now have slim chances of defending their Eredivisie trophy. Both Joey Veerman and Ivan Perisic should be recalled to the starting XI, while all Serginio Dest, Ricardo Pepi, Malik Tillman, and Fode Fofana.
The Gunners, on the other hand, are still hit by injuries, with all Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Takehiro Tomiyasu remaining in the recovery room. As Mikel Arteta’s men have been struggling up front ever since key attackers got injured, there is a big value in betting on under 2.5 goals. The tally of 39 goals in 76 league appearances earned him a transfer to Borussia Monchengladbach, but his spell in Germany ended in disappointment. Bundesliga club attempted to revive his career by sending him out on loan to Newcastle United but his stint with the English club yielded even more disappointment and concluded in utter disaster with De Jong playing 12 games without scoring a single goal for the Magpies.
A return to Netherlands and PSV Eindhoven turned out to be a proper hit for the 26-year-old striker who has restored his scoring touch with more than 50 goals for the Boeren after less than 90 games.
