Our prediction for this FIFA Club World Cup match:
Inter Miami will look to kick off their FIFA Club World Cup campaign in style when they take on Al Ahly on Sunday morning. The Herons are seen as favourites to win the opener, but they will have to prove their worth. Leo Messi is back from the international duty, while both Jordi Alba and Gonzalo Lujan are expected to miss out with injuries. Jose Riveiro’s men, on the other hand, have not been in action since May 28, 2025 when they rolled over Pharco 6-0 in the national championship.
Al Ahly did well to win the domestic trophy, but they have big ambitions for the upcoming showpiece tournament as well. Given Inter Miami’s difficulties at the back and potential attack with Leo Messi and Luis Suarez, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. A man to watch in the home team will be Egypt forward Mahmoud Trezeguet.
Highlighted Player (Lionel Messi):

Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realized his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment.
Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015).
In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.
Highlighted Team (Inter Miami):

Inter Miami is an American football (soccer) club that has been competing in the Major League Soccer since 2020. The Herons faced Los Angeles FC on their MLS debut, with the team suffering a 1-0 loss at Venue Banc of California Stadium.
Inter Miami recorded their first MLS win on August 23, 2020, with the team beating Orlando City 3-2 during the coronavirus pandemic. The Herons wear white shirts and violet shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Inter Miami welcome their rivals at Inter Miami FC Stadium, the venue which can hold no more than 18,000 spectators.
The stadium was opened on July 18, 2020. Former Manchester United and England ace David Beckham shares the ownership of the club with the likes of Marcelo Claure, Jorge and Jose Mas, and Masayoshi Son. Uruguay tactician Diego Alonso is the first head coach in the history of the club.
