Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Santa Clara, Sporting CP will look to retain top position in the standings when they face Moreirense on Matchday 30. The Lions are leading the chase for the Primeira Liga trophy, but they are level on points with their bitter local rivals Benfica. As a result, Rui Borges’ men need to go all guns blazing at Moreirense this weekend. Forward Conrad Harder misses out through suspension, while Hidemasa Morita remains doubtful.
Os Verdes e Brancos, on the other hand, are stuck in the middle of the table with 35 points on their account. With Moreirense having little to play for in the season finale, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. In their last meeting in Lisbon, Sporting CP rolled over Moreirense, who will be without suspended forward Guilherme Schettine in Saturday’s encounter.
