Ballymena Showgrounds will host Thursday’s Conference League qualifier between Larne and Prishtina. Larne survived Auda in round 1 and they are seen as slim favourites to beat Prishtina at home as well. Nathan Rooney’s men are tough to beat at home, but with the game being played at different stadium, home win should not be considered. Experienced forward Mark Randall has to be very cautious in Thursday’s game as the 35-year-old is only one yellow card away from suspension.
The Kosovars, on the other hand, failed to upset Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League double-header, with the team suffering a 4-0 loss in Moldova, while winning the return leg 2-1. Anyhow, Prishtina and Larne seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict that they are going to share the spoils in the first leg. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team.
