Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Expect an electrifying atmosphere at Windsor Park as Linfield and Vikingur go head to head in the Europa Conference League third qualifying round, return leg. Linfield suffered a 2-1 loss to Vikingur in Faroe Islands, but the hosts are seen as hot favourites to win the reverse fixture. Their display in a 3-0 win over Dungannon is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of Vikingur’s visit.
A man to watch in the home team will be talented forward Kieran Offord, who scored a hat-trick in the aforementioned league match. Solvi Ottesen’s troops, on the other hand, did well to win the first leg, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Thursday’s clash. As Linfield have turned their Windsor Park into a real fortress, we are tempted to bet on David Healy’s troops. Vikingur midfielder Stefan Radosavljevic should be cautious in the return leg as he is only one yellow card away from suspension.
