Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Charleroi will be looking to keep their 100% record in the 2020/21 season when they take on Waregem at Regenboogstadion on Sunday evening. The Black and Whites got off to a flying start to the season, and, no doubt, their fans have started dreaming about Jupiler League trophy. Charleroi are eyeing their first ever domestic title, but putting an end to Club Brugge’s dominance in the Belgian elite division is easier said than done.
In their last away game in the Jupiler League Charleroi outplayed Leuven 3-1. Waregem, on the other hand, proved their worth in back-to-back wins over Waasland-Beveren and Mouscron, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Charleroi. Given Waregem’s form before the international break, we predict that the two teams are going to share the spoils at Regenboogstadion on Matchday 5.
Highlighted Player (Stef Peeters):
Stef Peeters is a Belgian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ligue 1 side Caen. After making only five appearances for Racing Genk (2011-2015) he was loaned to Sparta Rotterdam in 2013. At the end of the 2013/2014 season he signed a loan deal with fellow Dutch club MVV Maastricht and in 2015 he signed a permanent contract with the club.
In 2016 Stef Peeters joined Sint-Truiden and it has to be noted that he scored five goals in 39 appearances for the Belgian club. The midfielder then (2017) moved to France to sign a four-year deal with Caen and he is going to wear No. 8 on his shirt in the 2017/2018 season.
The Belgian player was born on February 9, 1992 in Meeuwen-Gruitrode, but he has yet to earn a cap for the Belgium national football team. Peeters’ main position is central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder as well. The left-footed footballer has a contract with Caen which expires on June 30, 2020.
